Anoptimalprintingresult requiresoptimalprintingtemplates.Forthedi- erent inishing technologies we need vectorised print iles with a mini- mum resolution between 600 and 1.200 dpi – optimal are EPS-iles. TIFF or JPG iles with a similar resolution are also suitable.
Provided ilms can only be used ater examination o our in-house graphic department and also in case o screen printing. For multicolour-, haltone- and pad printing only in-house ilms can be used.
Data transmission
Weareabletoworkwiththeollowingsotwareversions:MAC:Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Quark Xpress, InDesign. Computer: Corel Draw. For data transmission you could use the uma Cloud or via E-Mail. For saety reasons and potential inquiries with data transmission we ask or company inormation, telephone and order number.
uma VISUAL flm transer printing (V)
Product images, advertisement motis, your own design drats and entire image portolios – the new uma VISUAL inishing method opens up almost endless individual design choices all around the entire barrel o plastic writing instruments. Under pressure and the eect o the heat, the carrier oil transports the print onto the barrel. The pressed moti covers the barrel completely (360 degree-print).
uma relie print (RD)
Feel your advertising message. With the relie print any logo becomes tangible. Additional to normal pad, silk or digital printing the logo will be covered by a clear UV lacquer. The additional lacquer gives the logo a visual 3D eect and a special glance.
Doming (D)
The manuacturing process o a curved, decorative, three-dimensionally surace coating is called doming. The coating consists o synthetic resin and usually has a glassy high transparent visual eect. This eect intensiied the aesthetic impression o the moti. It can be placed on plastic as well as on metal writing instruments.

All you need to consider is, the colour shades which will here be converted into CMYK, may vary slightly rom the exact PMS colours. The printing technol- ogy is limited to plane suraces and can’t be used on concave and convex suraces.
